Q. What is Enterprise Data World (EDW)?

A. For over 27 years now, Enterprise Data World (EDW) has been recognized as the most comprehensive educational conference on Data Management in the world. Taking place over four days, 80+ speakers will present a diverse schedule of programming that addresses every level of proficiency.

Several simultaneous topic tracks and the variety of sessions (Keynotes, Tutorials, Case Studies) make it easy for each of our attendees to tailor their ideal agenda!

Q. When and where will EDW Fall take place?

A. EDW Fall 2023 will take place September 18-21 at The Westin Anaheim Resort in Anaheim, CA.

Q. How is Fall's EDW different from Spring's EDW? 

A. EDW in Spring has long been the largest and most comprehensive event dedicated to Data Management, and we expect this to continue. September's EDW will have a slightly different format (4 days instead of 5), but otherwise, the two events are very similar in structure and focus outside of their different locations. 

Q. What takes place each day?

A. We kick off with Half-Day Tutorials Monday morning and evening (September 18th). The Conference Program (including Conference Sessions, Keynotes, and Sponsored In-Perspectives) takes place Tuesday-Wednesday (September 19th-20th). And we end the event with One-Day Seminars taking place Thursday (September 21st). 

Q. Who is speaking?

A. More than 80 industry leaders from around the world are scheduled to speak. See our Speakers Page for a complete list of EDW speakers. 

Q. How do I get to speak at the conference?

A. Most of the sessions are selected through a Call for Presentations (CFP) process. The CFP for EDW Fall is now closed, but if you'd like to be notified when the next CFP opens, please sign up here. 

Additionally, some sessions, such as Keynotes and Panels, are developed through specific invitations to the speakers. There are also some vendor speaking sessions that are identified on the program agenda as “sponsored.”

Q. Do you offer CDMP® testing at this event?

A. EDW satisfies the continuing education requirements of the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP®) credential. EDW Fall will also offer three different time slots for attendees to take CDMP Exams. See our Certification Page for more details. 

Q. What COVID-19 protocols will be implemented at Fall 2023's EDW?

A. In reviewing the current COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC, and the specific requirements in place in Anaheim, CA, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination or negative testing in order to attend. 

DATAVERSITY still recommends that all attendees take measures to manage their own health risks and protect themselves by wearing face coverings (masks) indoors, and being vaccinated with the latest available boosters at least two weeks prior to attending the conference.

Q. What if COVID-19 requirements change in Anaheim, CA?

A. If conditions around COVID-19 change such that stricter protocols are required by any health authority with jurisdiction in Anaheim, CA, then we will notify attendees immediately.
